Mercearia das Flores simply wished to provide high quality Portuguese products in an informal & relax way and also in a place where everybody can sample them first and then buy them afterwards if they like the taste! We’re a simple shop without luxuries and where the product itself, its aroma, texture and flavor are all outstanding! That’s how Mercearia das Flores was born in 2012.
Our product selection comes from small local producers and growers. You’ll find many varieties of regional food (some of which are organic), including tinned fish, cheeses, cured meats, extra-virgin olive oils, wines, honeys and the very typical Portuguese conventual sweets.
Our fresh artisan bread comes from the northern region of Trás-os-Montes, as well as the best Broa d'Avintes (a traditional maize flour bread) from the other side of the Douro River arrive daily at our Mercearia. These all can make ideal garnishes for any meal!
After tasting in our shop, you’ll know what’s best to take home or give to friends and family. Please take advantage of our many offers or even ask us to deliver your purchase to a destination of your choice!
In our future on-line shop, we will select a range of our best products.
